Yemen: Fighting in Sanaa Between Tribesmen Loyal to President Saleh and Mutinous Soldiers Supporting Anti-Government Protesters


GRAPHIC VIDEO: Tribesmen loyal to Yemen’s embattled president on Tuesday clashed with a group of soldiers whose commander has sided with the opposition, and the fighting in a suburb of the capital Sanaa left three tribesmen dead.

New fighting reported in Sanaa, Yemen where three people were reported killed in the capital city. The fight Tuesday occurred between tribesmen loyal to President Ali Abdullah Saleh and soldier backing anti-goevernment protesters.



GRAPHIC VIDEO FROM FEBRUARY: Video of Yemeni security forces firing on protestors. Security forces have clashed with anti-government protesters in Yemen on the seventh consecutive day of demonstrations calling for the ouster of the president.

Police shot and killed two protesters in the Yemeni city of Aden as unrest in the capital Sanaa against President Ali Abdullah Saleh flared for a fourth straight day. The fatalities were among three people taken to Naqib hospital in Aden.

More than 100 people have been killed since protests against President Ali Abdullah Saleh began in February, about the time of the downfall of Hosni Mubarak in Egypt.
