Moskva was a guided missile cruiser of the Russian Navy until is was destroyed by Ukrainian military forces on April 13, 2022. The ship was the lead ship of the Project 1164 Atlant class, named after the city of Moscow. The flagship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, and with a crew of 510, Moskva was considered the most powerful warship in the Black Sea region.
Ukrainian presidential adviser Oleksiy Arestovych and Odesa governor Maksym Marchenko claimed their forces hit Moskva in the late hours of April 13, 2022, using two R-360 Neptune anti-ship missiles. The report indicated the Moskva she on fire around 7 p.m. local time (GMT+3).
