A Southwest Airlines pilot used the anti-Biden slogan “Let’s Go Brandon!” while signing off, and Associated Press reporter Colleen Long wrote a long history of the slogan with Associated Press writers Aamer Madhani, Mary Clare Jalonick, Brian Slodysko and Will Weissert in Washington and Jenna Fryer in Charlotte, N.C., contributing to the report.
The slogan was announced to some audible gasps from passengers on the morning flight from Houston, Texas to Albuquerque, New Mexico, according to Colleen Long who said she was on the flight and heard the announcement. In the name of safety and media justice, Colleen Long apparently attempted to enter the cockpit unauthorized to find out who the pilot was that made the comment.
Her tweet — a little hard to comprehend — said this …
“TFW (the feeling when) you’re trying to go on vacation and then the pilot says the very thing you’re working on over the loud speaker and you have to try to get him comment but then almost get removed from plane.”

Also in defense of airline I was asking them to open locked cock pit and probably sounded insane!

The writers explained the origin of the slogan which occurred almost a month ago (almost everyone knows all about this already) at the Oct. 2, 2021 NASCAR race at the Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama when Brandon Brown, a 28-year-old driver, won his first Xfinity Series.
People beyond the usual Trump followers are likely to use the LGB slogan because they are upset about one or more of the following:
the botched Afghanistan withdrawal;
the loss of independent energy sources in the United States;
increasing gasoline prices and inflation;
the stalled supply chain;
the southern border crisis;
the Hunter Biden controversy;
the get vaccinated or lose your job mandates;
COVID-19 mask hypocrisy;
censorship;
technocracy;
the swamp and corruption of lobbyists; and
the conflict between school board and parents involving critical race theory, sexual misconduct, and filthy literature prioritized over basic education.
Underlying these problems are an increasing number of people who have entered into a phase of cognitive dissonance in response to the messages of American media and the United States government that do not match reality.
When the reporter suggested they were chanting “Let’s go, Brandon” instead of the actual “F—- Joe Biden” slogan, the Right felt they were given the gift of a new secret, non-vulgar slogan. The Left is simmering at “the childish behavior” while denying the basic problems of the Biden Administration and the State of the Union. Here are the Pros and Cons …

Southwest pilot says anti-Biden joke 'Let's go Brandon' over intercom: report https://t.co/E981QJM9rW pic.twitter.com/NjSnBSdaLi

Southwest pilot screams out "Let's go Brandon" over the intercom. @SouthwestAir I'll be booking my future flights accordingly. RT if you won't book with Southwest Airlines unless this pilot is fired.
— Turn Texas Blue (@Blue_Texas2022) October 30, 2021
A Southwest Airline pilot said “Let’s go Brandon” on the airplane’s public speaker. Very unsettling to have a MAGA lunatic flying an aircraft with people’s lives at stake. A pilot cursing the President of the United States is borderline terrorism. Southwest, please fire this man.

A pilot should be fired for saying, “Let’s Go Brandon”? Lol.
The Biden Administration should be fired for allowing drug cartels to traffic thousands of people & move significant weight across the southern border.
The outrage over a pilot is just silly in comparison.#Southwest

Context? Why do you think pilots are prohibited from making statements like this? Of any politics. Maybe it’s a big joke, a f*** you to Biden? Or it may show lack of restraint, a temper, or worse. It could upset passengers in air. It isn’t words generically. It is context.

Unlike some of you, I’m not saying he should fired. Only that there should be investigation. For all we know he was making fun of it. Either way — bad joke or asshole — it cannot go unaddressed lest it opens up other pilots to harangue passengers.

.@SouthwestAir, don’t cave to the woke mob. Let’s Go Brandon is being chanted at stadiums across America and was the #1 song in the country. Brandon is polling at 42%. No one likes Brandon. https://t.co/cK6n3EdceU

To clarify, you tried to barge into a locked cockpit to confront a pilot mid flight and the plane was not turned around, you were not removed, and there were no police waiting for you. Lucky you weren’t a 2 year old not wanting to wear a mask.

Cockpit is such a problematic descriptor.
Please call it a "flight deck" and refrain from using gendered language in the future.— Home_Alone (@HOM3_ALON3) October 31, 2021
Very curious if @AP condones it’s employees trying force their way into the cockpit of a passenger plane.
— hynterd (@HdavisHunter) October 30, 2021
Breaking into the cockpit and trying to possibly assault/kill the pilot? Over what? A pop culture phrase? This is highly offensive to people who lost loved ones on 9/11
— Joe (@JC_Franklins) October 31, 2021
And all the Brandon’s in the world are rejoicing and celebrating their new found attention. Get over it and move on!
— Papa Mike (@mlawren01) October 30, 2021
You don't understand how that violated the crew's boundaries? You *were* acting like a person in questionable mental health. No "lol" about it.

If they had escorted her out in handcuffs, I’d fly southwest for life
— Christina Pushaw 🐊 (@ChristinaPushaw) October 31, 2021
Professionals who feel the need to MAKE these kind of statements are stretching their rights as EMPLOYEES and could cause damage to the BRAND. So the Company, Southwest , needs to decide if they have violated company policy.

Eventually people are pushed too far. Truckers,pilots, dock workers, utility workers and law enforcement are worth listening to. Utility worker here. You need us.
— $DogelonSunshine (@CavedinSunshine) October 31, 2021
@SouthwestAir This undisciplined display, lack of control and reason is a red flag. The pilot requires a psych review before he is allowed to fly again. I would be concerned that he may be unhinged, potentially dangerous to the flying public and a legal risk
— Sheryl (@gaiabiz) October 31, 2021
The pilot exhibited extreme restraint because he didn’t come right out and say “Foxtrot Juliet Bravo” and frankly right now, we’re seeing quite a few more with that mindset than not, regardless of political bent.
